Currently {vol. 4}… so, I’ve been away…

I know, I know. I’m currently an awful blogger. I’ve ignored you, and that’s not very nice. But in my defense, life has been hectic. I know that I’ve said that before, but it’s true. Wedding planning, moving, school starting for the little one… it’s been crazy. But I’m back, and I’m here to stay. I promise. I have some things planned for this blog, and I’m here to see them through.

But for today… let me catch you up on my life with another volume of “currently.” Feel free to join in if you’d like! The main link-up is located at A Mama Collective.

Thinking About // A few things… one being wedding planning!! We are down to 26 days until the big event, and I am getting so antsy and so stinking excited, I can barely control myself. Yes, there is still lots to do, but it’s all super fun stuff: song selections, photography ideas, hairstyles, make up styles, the making of fun little decorations… that kind of thing. It’s exciting! I’m loving it. The other thing I’m thinking about is a link-up idea, actually. I’ve been praying about it, and I’m really, really leaning toward starting it. It’s definitely something scripture-based because I feel like it’s something that need in my life, and if I need it, I’m sure that at least a few of my fellow bloggers need it as well. I know that what I’m saying is a little vague at the moment, but it’ll become much clearer soon. I promise! Just give it a few days.

Thankful For // My fiancé. I’m currently sick with a terrible cold and instead of avoiding me like the plague, which is what he should be doing because he’s got work until 2:30am for the next two days, he’s been taking extra amazing care of me. Getting me medicine, making sure that I’m drinking plenty of fluids, taking care of Haley and the puppy. He’s so sweet and amazing. I’m so thankful for him!

Enjoying //  Books! And Netflix. Being sick in bed leaves lots of time for these things, and I’m certainly enjoying them.

Reading //  Three things: “Sisterhood Everlasting” by Ann Brashares. It’s the final book in the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” series, which I love. I’m only a chapter and a half in, but I’m really liking it so far. Also, “Growing Strong in God’s Family,” the first book in The Colossians 2:7 series. It’s part of a Bible study I joined last week at my church. It really focuses on disciplining yourself to get into God’s word daily (which leads me into saying that The Bible is also what I’ve been reading – the book of James, specifically), and not just that, but to share it with others. Bible verse memorization is involved. It’s really amazing. I’m loving it so far.

Watching //  I’ve been watching a lot of “The Wonder Years.” It’s on Netflix. Good show!

Listening To //  The dog growling “ferociously” at his toy.

Loving //  God. Because he’s awesome and he has been doing great work in my life. Enough said.

So that’s what I’m currently up to. If you run a blog, please join us all for A Mama Collection‘s “currently” link-up. It starts every Monday, but you’re able to join at any point throughout the week. If you don’t run a blog, I still want to know what you’re up to so tell me about it in the comments below!

    1. Thank you so much. I’ll definitely keep y’all updated on my blog about when it comes to this devotional. I’m loving it so far!

And YES! The Wonder Years = amazing. I love watching it now that I’m older because it’s much easier to understand and quite a bit more humorous! 😉

  1. I need to see if I can find that book Growing Strong. Sounds like it would be good. YAY for wedding planning. I know you are super excited!
